Last night was a pretty rough dress rehearsal for Bye Bye Birdie. People dropped lines, missed queues, confused harmonies; it was a little scary, especially for two days before opening night. It occurred to me that our biggest star and the foundation of Acting Up had accidentally been left outside. No wonder the show was falling apart! Realizing this, I sent a message to our director--something along the lines of "the most important part of our show is missing. Could you please help organize a cast prayer tomorrow night?" And that's exactly what we did.
Tonight, a cast member said a well spoken prayer, thanking God and giving the show back to Him for His use, and then the show went on. And it went amazingly! Never doubt anything if it's in God's hands. His will is good. Trust in it (and don't forget to thank Him too!)
