August 24: Value of a Gift

I feel like all day long I have been writing or talking about the value of nature and its importance in society. I've written an essay in Spanish, read a poem in English, and even experienced nature first-hand today, so let me say, we have a lot to be grateful for. Nature is a reminder of the pure beauty of God's gifts, and any damage to it is a reminder of the corruption of this world. And that extends beyond nature, into our lives and our hearts. I feel refreshed and reenergized in this thought that we were pure and we are able to be pure again through Jesus's crucifixion. And oh! How valuable a gift!
