August 4: Encouragement

I know I've mentioned this before, but I cannot emphasize any more how important encouragement is. It's like oil in a car engine; you can't go anywhere without it. It's the same with people. Without encouragement, the parts squeak and squeal and rub until the machine just falls apart, people become angry and frustrated and relationships fall apart. We are called to be servants, but encouragement is taking the step down while also lifting someone else to the step up, and if everyone is encouraging, everyone keeps moving up. Who can you help up to the next step?
