April 27: Be Still

I was walking my dogs late this evening, just as the light was draining from the sky. We walked by the lake. The water was still, so as I looked into the water, I could only see the reflection of the pretty sky and trees. It got me thinking: if we are still, we reflect the light and beauty most clearly. In other words, when we aren't rushing around to accomplish worldly things, we give God's beauty and light an opportunity to be reflected from us.
