Late last night during our traditional senior-reflection-last-night-of-tour thing, one of our close and dear chaperon moms told us something very meaningful: this choir is our patronus; it is what protects us when the dementors, the cold and dark parts, come into our lives. Choir is a safe zone for many of us, but for me, even more than choir is my relationship with God.
He is my Patronus ("Patr-" even means "father"). When the bad times come, I'm safe; they can't penetrate my Patronus. Nothing can.
