June 10: Simple Community

This morning on my way to church, I ended up stopped on a VERY steep hill behind a garbage truck, but surprisingly enough, in those few seconds, God showed up. The house the truck was stopped at had about five trash cans at the end of the driveway, and the woman was bringing another one, and before the garbage collectors had emptied the ones already at the end of the driveway, one of them went to help the woman with her other trash can. It seems like a very simple thing, but in that moment, I could tell it meant a lot to the woman, and it was neat to see an ordinary man become extraordinary by stepping out of his way to help her.
