June 27: Power Up

I was babysitting a 4-year-old this evening, and we were playing a ball game in the house. He's at that age where he keeps making up rules so that he wins. One of the rules was after two goals, he gets to use a power up. My response was, "Ok. What's a power up?" And he said, "You don't know what a power up is?! Any 4-year-old knows!" And he went on (with difficulty) describing a power up as anything that helps the player win.

As the game went on, these "power ups" became increasingly impossible, but he knew he could do anything to succeed. He had all the resources, and he wasn't afraid to test them out.

God gives us all the resources, all we need to have plenty of power ups. We can go undefeated; we need only ask him for help.
