June 12: The Best Way to Love

On Fridays, I volunteer at the children's hospital, so yesterday, I encountered many children and their parents or their lack of parental presence. In one circumstance, a young boy, less than two years old, was alone in his room. Some might say, "what horrible parents! They should be with their son!" Meanwhile, just down the hall and down a floor, there was a child whose parents were both there, but they were struggling to work, thus harming their child in a different way. However, their actions are misinterpreted! Both are trying so hard to care for their child, to pay the bills, to provide medical care, to show their selfless love. There is no correct or incorrect way to love, all it takes is a pure heart.
