May 22: Fathers

Of all the things to see at Six Flags, something that stuck out to me today was how caring and protective some of the dads were of their kids. On the Monster Mansion ride, there are some funny parts and some creepy parts and some scary parts, and as I was riding, there were two rows in front of me, and each had a father and his child. When it got to the scary parts, the dad would shelter his kid or hug him/her close. The dad didn't discourage them from getting on the ride in the first place or take the kid out of line, and neither does our Father in Heaven. He doesn't take us away from the scary parts of life because then we would also miss the funny and exciting parts, but He rides with us through it all.
