May 17: Let It Grow

Today was stepping up Sunday at church, so we celebrated graduations as well as welcomed the rising 6th graders into the youth building. It's an exciting time, and I was reminded on my way home by the song, "Let It Grow" from the Lorax movie, that it only takes one seed to build a forest. In the same way, these 6th graders only need one seed (along with proper nourishment) to build their trees and prosper in their faith journeys. So tonight, I was refreshed and rejuvenated just thinking about the potential and the responsibility in my and all the students' hands to plant the seed and raise a forest.
