May 11: Forrest Gump
In history, we started watching the American classic, Forrest Gump, which I have found teaches you much more than history. It makes you take a second thought about how we view potential. I haven't watched the whole movie, but from what I have seen, I know that Forrest appears to be stupid and have a very small usefulness in most circumstances, but nevertheless, he cares about everyone he meets. Take Jenny for instance, he protects her and keeps her from doing things that she is better than. Though he is lower than her in intelligence, he recognizes her for who she is. He loves her more than a romantic love, it's the same love of Jesus who puts himself at risk in order to protect us.
