If you were to put a candle in a room and sent a person in with wet glasses to identify what was producing the glow, it would be difficult to determine exactly what the light is; they would only know that there is
a light. In the same way, Jesus is the light in our lives and our purpose is to share this light so that everyone around us can know the light as well. But, beware. If you aren't specific about the source of your light--your peace, your joy, your love--it might not be recognized as Jesus. Don't just shine broadly, but be a flame. Be purposeful in your acts of kindness, and be sure of whose purpose it is.
