September 24: Support

As I've mentioned numerous times, I know that our ability to empathize is not a mistake. Sure, sometimes they make us feel pain even when it's not ours to bear, or they make us desire another's situation, but they're what connect us together. God has enabled each of us to feel for each other, and if we allow him, he will work through us in those "feelings." On the radio today, one woman called in who had received so much bad news in one day, and while she had been running errands, a stranger had come up to her and just said, "I need to hold you," and she did. And through that, she received God's presence. Reach out to others. Take a chance.
